About Ted

Ted Schneider is the host of Improv Leadership, a weekly segment heard on WRLR 98.3 FM The Life on Tuesdays at 6pm (central). Each week, Ted brings his unique blend of candid storytelling, humor, and genuine insight to topics that matter — everyday life, and the unexpected lessons that come from simply paying attention.

Ted has held leadership positions in business for over 46 years at companies including Allstate Life Insurance, American Express, Information Resources Inc., Harris Bank, Acxiom, and currently at Claritev (formerly MultiPlan). His leadership journey began early — in Boy Scouts, where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

His formal education includes a Political Science degree from UIC, a Green Belt certification in Six Sigma, and he is a certified ITIL Expert. Ted completed improv and theatre training at the Players Workshop of Second City and has performed volunteer emcee and live auctioneer duties at various charity events.

On the radio, Ted was the host of the "Improv Comedy Show" on WRLR for over 4 years and hosted Improvleadership on WLCB for 2 years before bringing the show back to WRLR. As of February 2018, he serves on the WRLR Board of Directors. He was also a member of the Time Travelers Theatre Ensemble Group, an improv performance group.
